Rejuvenate Skin with Forever Young BBL
Forever Young™ is recognized worldwide to provide consistent outstanding results. Clinically proven, it turns back the clock by addressing the visible signs associated with aging skin. BBL features Forever Young + BBL. Skin will look clearer, smoother, pigment and vascularity reduced and overall revitalized.
BBL treatment can restore gene expression patterns of photoaged and intrinsically aged human skin to resemble young skin. BBL uses a broad band of noncoherent light waves, ranging from 560 to 1,200 nm, that are absorbed by a number of components in the skin.
Molecular changes induced by this treatment to lead to skin ‘‘Rejuvenation’’which is defined as the restoration of characteristics of youthfulness to aged cells and tissues. After BBL treatment, is the skin truly ‘‘rejuvenated’’ at a molecular level, i.e., more closely resembles younger skin. .
Forever Young BBL enables our expert providers to treat multiple skin conditions with various wavelengths of light. Sciton’s BBL technology uses Smart Filters to allow providers to seamlessly change the wavelengths for the specific skin condition. Forever Young BBL’s broad range of available wavelengths allow our providers to target treatment for many skin conditions without fewer hand pieces. Flexible Finesse Adapters enable treatment of hard to reach areas which results in evenly treated skin.
Forever Young BBL treatments are faster than other IPL treatments and are not painful for most patients. The face, neck and large areas of the body can be treated in less than 30 minutes. Sciton’s powerful cooling technology prevents the skin from feeling overheated during treatment. The treatment can be performed anywhere on the body.
Downtime is minimal. Most patients experience redness. A small number of patients may experience a “sunburned” appearance for about a week.
Clinically Proven to Make Skin Look and Act Younger at the Cellular Level
According to a 2012 study published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, BBL makes skin look and act younger at the cellular level. BBL actually revives the DNA in treated skin, encouraging it to develop more of its own collagen for skin and a marked improvement in tone and texture.*
The genes in skin’s DNA is rejuvenated so skin cells behave more like younger cells. Younger cells produce better, stronger proteins and collagen. This results in skin that looks younger, firmer, and more even. It changes the protein production in skin at a molecular level.*
BBL light energy is clinically proven to be effective for treating a wide range of skin conditions as well as increasing new collagen production. Increased collagen production helps rebuild the structure of skin.*
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Forever Young BBL?
Forever Young BBL produces dramatic results through photorejuvenation. Fewer complications are seen with this latest technology by Sciton. Regular treatments over time functionally rejuvenates skin and delays the effects of skin aging. Faster healing time and fewer complications result from non-ablative Forever Young BBL treatments.*
What Happens During the Treatment?
The pulses of laser light are passed over the skin that last less than a millisecond. As the laser is passed over the skin, it delivers energy in short pulses. The treatment is progressively applied to the target treatment areas. The entire procedure typically requires between 30 minutes to 1 hour to perform, depending on the areas being treated and the patient goals.*
What Side Effects Are Typical with the Treatment?
As with any medical procedure, side effects and healing time vary by patient. Typical side effects from laser treatments include: swelling, redness and skin crusting. Skin redness typically lasts for several days to weeks.*
Forever Young BBL treatments pose little risk for blistering or scarring. For patients with olive or darker skin, hyperpigmentation is a potential risk.*
Your free pre-treatment consultation will identify if you are a good candidate. At the consultation, you will be informed of the expected extent of your procedure to achieve your goals, the expected recovery period and how soon after the treatment you may expect to see full results.*
After receiving Forever Young BBL treatment, the skin in the treated areas must be protected for two weeks with a high-SPF sunscreen (or avoid the sun entirely).
What is the Difference Between Ablative and Non-ablative Laser Skin Resurfacing?
Ablative laser skin resurfacing removes the top layer of your skin. They are very effective at treating wrinkles, scars, and other skin concerns. Ablative resurfacing actually removes the top layer of skin. This results in significant downtime for healing.
Non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation is less invasive. Non-ablative procedures employ heat to stimulate cells and thicken the underlying collagen to improve your skin tone and elasticity. Non-ablative laser skin rejuvenation does not remove all skin. This results in a more rapid recovery and less downtime.
This treatment only removes part of the skin by applying laser energy in a pattern. This produces dramatic results with less downtime and recovery.*
How Much Does the Treatment Cost?
Forever Young BBL starts at $399 for full face treatment.
What Should I Expect During the Treatment?
We will apply a topical numbing cream to make your treatment as comfortable as possible. Laser skin rejuvenation typically requires 30 to 60 minutes to perform. After the procedure, your skin may be covered with Aquaphor – a petroleum jelly – to protect your skin and promote faster healing.*
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
During your free consultation, we will advise you on the number of laser treatments you’ll need to achieve your personal goals. Patients typically start with one treatment. Once the results of the first treatment are seen over several months, the treated area will be reassessed to determine if another treatment is needed. Multiple treatments are recommended for optimal results, although substantial improvement may be seen with a single treatment.*
Results per treatment vary based on skin quality and thickness and the settings used on the device during the treatment. When more aggressive settings are used, patients typically see significant improvement with one treatment.*
