Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating natural collagen and elastin production. What is Microneedling?  

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, involves creating tiny micro-punctures in the skin using fine needles. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing process, encouraging collagen and elastin production. As the skin heals, it becomes smoother, firmer, and more even in tone. The treatment is safe for all skin types and can be customized to meet individual needs. 

How Microneedling Works 

Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which trigger the body’s natural wound-healing response. This process leads to the production of collagen and elastin, essential proteins that improve skin texture and appearance. The procedure involves the use of a handheld device equipped with tiny needles that make precise, microscopic punctures in the skin. The length of these needles can be adjusted, typically ranging from 0.5 millimeters to 2 millimeters, depending on the individual’s specific skin concerns and treatment goals. This customization ensures that each microneedling session is tailored to achieve optimal results.

The Microneedling Treatment  

During the microneedling procedure, the Eclipse MicroPen is used to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These tiny punctures stimulate the skin’s repair process, boosting collagen and elastin production. The skin needling procedure typically takes 15-30 minutes, and hyaluronic acid or growth factor serums can be applied to enhance the effects. Depending on the patient’s skin type and treatment goals, the depth of the needles can be adjusted for optimal results. 

Microneedling Results and Recovery  

Most patients experience some redness and mild swelling immediately after the procedure, which typically subsides within 24-48 hours. Results become visible as the skin heals, with continued improvements over the following weeks. Multiple cosmetic treatments may be recommended, spaced about four to six weeks apart for best results.
